Mission Statement
To foster better support, understanding, and cooperation between the administration and teachers of the Milford Elementary school, the parents of students attending the school, and the community. Welcome!
Most parents think the PTO is a fundraising organization but in reality it is much more. We hold one major fundraiser a year that raised $28,000 last year. We use that money to provide additional services, special programs, field trips and equipment to the elementary school. Some of last year PTO funding expenditures:
- Library Books
- Scholarships for 2 graduating High School Seniors
- Summer Camp for 10 elementary students
- Artist in Residents and Scientist in residents
- Poster Maker
If you want to find out what's happening, come to one of our monthly meetings in the cafeteria at the Heron Pond School. At each meeting we get updates from the event chairpersons, review money requests, and have guest speakers. Please join us at the next PTO meeting.
